19 November 2008

Braking is important to consider when you are driving.  It does not matter what you are driving, braking correctly is going to keep you and the people around you safe.  Proper braking is important in sway control.

Having proper braking is the different between a safe and relaxing trip, and a dangerous and stressful trip.  Making sure that you are not braking too suddenly will help to decrease your chance for accidents.

Fast braking can also lead to the trailer jackknifing.  That is not a pleasant experience, and will cause delays, if not having to cancel the trip.  Having delays on a trip can make for a difficult time, that is why making sure that you are braking correctly is important.

Saving gas for national security

17 November 2008

Now that gas prices are down, you may think there is no reason to buy gas saver cars anymore.  Well, you would be wrong.  For one thing, experts predict that gas will naturally go up again in the beginning of 2009 due to increased demand and decreased supply from OPECs 10% cut in pumping.  For another, buying gas from countries who own the gas supply enables those countries to use oil funds to fund their military.  Most of them are currently hostile to the US so keeping gas prices low by saving on gas with a gas saver car will help us stay strong by keeping our enemies weak.

Logos Add Personalization to Number Plates

12 November 2008

When you get personal number plates, you should remember that you can also pick a logo or emblem to go on your plate.  It seems like nothing too important to remember, but if you are a specific sports team fan or are patriotic, you could really send your license plate message home with an emblem or logo.  For instance, if the team is “Patriots” and you put “PATS” on your license plate, but forget the logo, you might not get the response you bargained for!  At any rate, just keep in mind that you can choose an emblem or logo for your personalized plates to make it all that more personal.

My daughter was appointed an attorney by the insurance company.

07 November 2008

Here is a story I wrote:  When my husband and I were involved in a car accident, we had our three year old daughter with us. She was injured in the accident, and she had to be taken by ambulance to a local hospital. From there, she was air lifted to a larger hospital in a bigger city. She had to have surgery, and she remained in the hospital for thirteen days. She had to have physical therapy as well. My daughter was appointed an attorney by the insurance company. He handled the settlement that the insurance company gave her. We had to place the money in a savings account or a certificate of deposit, where it will remain until she is eighteen years old. I wonder how the insurance company chose the attorney. I wonder if they did an internet search for attorney insurance Oregon. We live in Oregon, but our insurance company is located out of state. Therefore, I don’t think they are familiar with the attorney.

Should I Buy Whole Electric Car Conversion Kits or Individual Components?

26 October 2008

Some people think that it is better to buy individual components that they need to convert their gas vehicle than buying electric car conversion kits.

Some electric car conversion kits come with all the parts and components needed whereas others are more like manuals for the car conversion. It is up to the person trying to convert the car.

However, for most people, it is much cheaper to buy the electric car kits because they can control the costs. If they were to order individual components instead, the components may not work and buying them individually can get very expensive.

Sensors for conveyor traffic cops

12 October 2008

Mechanical actuated sensors were used in conveyor traffic cop systems. They were replaced by photoelectric sensors which are now being used by most companies.  Originally the whole system (apart fro the conveyor traffic cops) is composed of one sensor and one actuator which are wired to a central controller that delivers the conveyor traffic cop logic.   A central controller (PLC) is utilized to provide the conveyor traffic cop logic for the work flow of the whole operation. The conveyor traffic cop logic may consist of timer functions for local zones or the entire system.  This enables the conveyor traffic cops in minimizing or maximizing gaps between products to prevent collisions.

Petrol or electric scooters, which do you have?

07 October 2008

When looking at new scooters, many may look at the size, the power, or the colors, even, many may not consider whether it is a electric or a petrol powered scooter.

Electric scooters may have less wear or tear, less parts to replace, and are quieter, without adding any pollution.

Petrol scooters, on the other hand, are plentiful in replacement parts, have more power, and petrol is usually easy to find, if maybe a bit pricey depending on where.

Whichever you think on buying, there are things to think on, so, narrowing down your choices may may the decision easier. Searching on line, or in buyers magazines may help make your choice better.

There are thousands of people out there who would gladly switch their vehicles over to electric if they just knew how. One of the most inhibitors is the unknown. Head out to the junk yard and find a good looking car body with a dead engine, that is where I would start.

“Burning” Water.

19 September 2008

I attended a car show last weekend and while browsing a group of the finest cars I’d seen in a while, a small booth caught my eye.

The big sign attached to the front of the booth blasted the words, burn water for gas.

Needless to say, the booth was a bit crowded with a group of curious onlookers.

I waited my turn and was then treated to one of most interesting demos I’d seen in awhile.

Two motors, each with 1/10th of a gallon in the fuel line, and a clock.

The results: The motor with the water converter kit ran 25% longer on the same amount of gas.

It was pretty neat.
