Making a Choice - Dish Network vs Direct TV

Who would have thought it could be so difficult to decide on a satellite provider? Should I go with Dish Network vs Direct TV? I am not entirely sure that it really matter, but I am pretty concerned with service provided in that I want my satellite service to be consistent! I keep hearing about all those blackouts people used to have trouble with when bad weather would come through. How inconvenient, just when you really need to watch the weather, not to have it available. I really want to know which company, Dish Network vs Direct TV provides the most consistent service.
