The changing face of lake District Cottages

Cottages in the lake district have been changing significantly over the last decade. I remember back, staying at a cottage was like glorified camping. It was a roof over your head and a floor out of the water and that was about it. But visiting the cottages in the lake district today is vastly different. The cottages today are examples of really cozy homes. They still maintain that old county charm that really defines them as what they are and why they are different from a hotel. Other than that you can get the same great service and amenities that you would have to pay for staying at a regular old hotel.
